Unlike many cars, a Mercedes-Benz may have many variations within the same model and year. Part of this is due to the fact that the Mercedes-Benz is a worldwide automobile and sometimes USA and European versions of the same year and model use slightly different parts. We would like to provide you with the correct information so the part you request and receive a quote on is the one that you need. To do so, it is helpful to know as much information about your car as possible. The year, model, VIN, Engine Number, whether is it a USA or European model are often necessary to identify the CORRECT part for your car. Other information such as color, left or right side, and any other information relevant to the specific part is useful. IF there is a M-B part number that is legible, please include that as well. Even with all of the above, there are still several versions of some parts. We have a very high volume of email requests. It is MUCH easier and FASTER to telephone our parts manager at 1-203-975-0440 and request a quote on the part. IF additional information is needed to correctly identify the part he will ask you the relevant questions to be sure the part quoted is the correct one for your car. He can also give you additional information as to availability, condition and/or color if a used part, and any other facts necessary to insure that you are totally satisfied with your order, it will fit your car the first time, and work correctly. The other factor is that on some parts you have to be able to use the same terminology as the M-B parts book, to be sure the part is the exact one needed. We often get requests for a part that, upon further questioning, turns out to be something similar as the M-B terminology is different. For all of the above reasons, it is far better to telephone for a parts quote.
